Whatever Floats Your Boat, the charitable event observed at the Festival City marina in Dubai, featured thirty rafts and boats made from recycled plastic bottles, can and paper vying each other. The eco-event, which in fact turned out to be a carnival, was jointly organized by the Inter-Continental Dubai Festival City, Festival Center and IGY Marinas.

It took the organizers two weeks to organize this event. The proceeds amounting to Dh112,000 will go to the Emirates Marine Environmental Group (EMEG) to be further utilized in protecting the endangered Hawksbill turtles.
