Acta Energy's new hydrogen bike exhibited at 2009 EICMA motor show
Aditi Justa | Nov 14 2009

Acta Energy is out with its novel invention that was exhibited at the 2009 EICMA motor show in Milan. Standing in the show’s “green planet” area, which is dedicated to companies that show their latest models of electric and hybrid vehicles, the new hydrogen bike displayed its green credentials. The bike is powered by electric current produced by recombining hydrogen through a fuel cell with the oxygen present in the air.

This new innovative creation gives you the facility of producing pure hydrogen from water at your own living space with complete safety. The hydrogen is stored in a small tank of metal hydride, a metallic powder that absorbs up to 650 times its own volume of hydrogen and releases it at very low pressure. The 600 liters of hydrogen residing in the one liter metal hydride tank let you travel some 100 km at the speed limit of 25 km/h. What makes it even more likable is the fact that you can recharge the tank within a few hours at your dwelling itself. It can also be recharged by simply connecting to the hydrogen generator. In order to experience an unforgettable green ride, get your hands on the hydrogen bike by Acta Energy.

Agreed. I see many people building their own hydrogen generators to save money on gas bills. Seems like the trend is gonna rise soon and most of us would be running our cars on water.

This type of breakthrough is exactly what the earth needs so it can regenerate. The alternative energy movement has finally come of age when I see things like this being developed so well.
I have been tinkering for some time with Hydrogen in vehicles and it is only recently that I feel confident with using it on a working car. There is still a long way to go to give power to the people and free us from the giant petroleium companies strangel hold on the environment and our purse strings.
