Chikyu project successfully shows earthquake and tsunami hints

In the techno-hub of the world, Tokyo externalize is taking place which projects to apprehend into the Earth’s surface than ever before. This project, within two months of its hostile expedition has already showed bright signs of becoming a huge success as scientists have gathered some crucial information about how the earthquakes and tsunamis occur. A team involving sixteen scientists from six different countries is brainstorming to find a concrete reason for the same. The success gained by the team was appreciated by all, involved with the project. This project is estimated to be completed within 6 years involving 100 scientists’. There are 21 countries participating with Japan and United States leading the project.

As it is, world is already shaken with the growing Tsunamis and earthquakes which results in huge property loss and if continues will ruin the world in no time. Japan took this step because 20% of the world’s earthquake is seen by them and recently a deadly quake appeared in July which closed the world’s largest nuclear plant. This resulted in huge criticisms of building the plant on the quake faultier line. Japan’s most active earthquake zone is the Kii peninsula which is forecasted to have major tremors in the years to come.

This huge project involves millions of dollars and to be specific Japan has contributed 550 million dollar for this deep drilling vessel named as Chikyu, which poses to cut the waters of Japan and reach the place where two tectonic plates assembles. This Chikyu has a long 400-ft tower that is able to dig 23,000 ft below the sea-line.
