Hailing from Central Asia basically, the yurts flaunted some basic elements of portability, sustainability and minimalism, which later made the rest of the world follow this hypothetically green construction. The felt-covered, wood lattice-framed structures have thicker walls than that of a tent. While Americans are now bringing hi-tech materials into the fabrication of modern eco-friendly yurts, Europeans are more content in following the Mongolian and Central Asian yurt constructional practices. As the felt-cover is going missing in modern architecture (yurt), it is good to see green technologies creeping in to pay it off.
