The U.S. is all set to touch new heights with a new solar panel plant that will provide power to as many as 4 million customers. The Desoto Next Generation Solar Energy Center, a 25-megawatt solar plant, is one of the three solar projects that are being constructed by Florida Power & Light. As of now, this $150 million facility will be the largest solar power producing facility in the States.

President Barack Obama is expected to be present and take a tour of the plant when it is started on Tuesday. This Florida facility will provide power to a fraction of FP&L’s customer base. Another 75-megawatt plant being built by Florida Power & Light in Arcadia will be three times the size of the Desoto facility.
