Leo Kempf’s recycled cardboard Conversation Table talks
Priyanka Khanghta | May 26 2009

Leo Kempf’s Conversation Table is straight out of the comic books. There are no dialogues in between, however audience can easily fill the empty space with loads of acclamation.

The table made from small pieces of cardboard is a giant dialogue bubble. The grooved cardboard sheets are placed on top of the other forming a speech bubble shape; to fill the layers of the sheet plywood spacers have been used. The lightweight Conversation Table offers enough space to keep your stuff.

The innovative table is on display at 360SEE Gallery in Chicago until July 1.

As I came upon this creative and witty piece of work, I just told myself I want one of these. It is not something fancy and hi-tech; in fact it is very simple. But despite its simplicity, it is very handy and functional. And take note, environmental friendly too!
