Samsung Electronics, the world-renowned brand for LCD displays unveiled its new LED-backlit LCD monitor to join the Touch of Color range. The Samsung XL2370 features cutting-edge technology and a “finger-slim” design utilizes around 40% less power to operate when compared to conventional monitors of similar size. Hence, it helps the environment.
Adding to the eco-quotient is its LED backlight unit that does not contain toxic-materials like halogen or mercury. The slim profile also dramatically reduces transportation costs and requirements for a smaller carbon footprint. The monitor is easier to recycle because the ToC manufacturing process eliminates harmful paints and sprays.
The Samsung XL2370 offers Full HD (1080p) resolution, a response time of a mere 2ms and a mega dynamic contrast ratio topping out at 5,000,000:1. It is slated for release in Korea in mid-July and ships to Europe and other countries in August.
