South Region High School #15 set to be America’s greenest school ever
Desh | Nov 17 2009

Soaring high on hopes, the South Region High School #15 in the City of Angels will soon be generating 100 percent of its own electricity, and almost certainly will register itself to be America’s greenest school ever. Soon you’ll see its roof laden with 34,000 square feet of solar panels, and also no less than 36 medium-sized vertical axis wind turbines, making it an energy-efficient construction.

Almost all the spheres of modern green technology find an inclusion into the construction of its green building. The 115,000 square foot structure while being home to drought-resistant native plant species will also flaunt a 23,000 square foot green roof. The CO Architects made sure that natural light, ample ventilation and the prudent use of insulating material should maximize energy efficiency. As per the reports, you could see it completed in 2012 positively.
