Who wouldn’t want access to a power source that is efficient, reliable, cost-effective and at the same time green? Here is a portable power solution that is an amalgamation of the best of Swiss design and German engineering. Dubbed the “sun2go”, the solution by meeco AG is the most convenient and environmentally responsible way to supply small-scale, stand-alone power wherever required.
sun2go is a photovoltaic (PV)-based portable power supply consisting of a collapsible PV module and a wheeled trolley containing a battery, inverter and charge controller. It works by juicing up the battery by various energy sources, like PV modules, diesel generators or the local electricity grid during daytime. Then either AC or DC power is supplied to the electrical devices by the inverter and charge controller. As the moon comes out, the energy stored in the battery can be used to power your gadgets.
With its easy-to-transport, shock-resistant design, and a combined weight under 50 kg. (110 lbs.), sun2go is the ideal solution for remote, hard to access, or other types of locations where other sources of power are not available, reliable or cost-effective. It can be used in a variety of fields like electrical lights, small appliances (foot warmer, air fan, hot plate), communication devices (mobile phone, radio, laptop, printer), measuring equipment, small electrical power tools and emergency engine ignition.
I would like to say the renewable, portable energy systems such as “sun2go” represent a sustainable solution to address off-grid electric power demand, both for day-to-day use in remote areas as well as for emergency and humanitarian purposes...
