Kooho Jung and Hayeon Kelly Choi have come up with an innovative idea transforming a ugly looking dividing walls into living urban spaces, which consist of plants and systems that would not only keep you healthy but also our planet. The duo’s new creation called the ‘Symbiotic Green Wall’ is a vertical urban ecosystem that helps collect, purify and redistribute water around the site using natural processes. It also includes a digital monitoring system that provides information on water usage, noise violation, air pollution and foul smell.
The plant pods, shade bird nest, sitting areas and lightings on the outside of the Symbiotic Green Wall gives you a perfect green visual treat. The intermediate zone that is basically the water recycling system consists of water purifying system and distribution system. The wall itself acts as a water storage tank that collects and restores rainwater from the roof and grey water from the construction site. Then the water is purified and redistributed. The internal wall on the construction side has a sprinkler system to help maintain the air-quality, energy and working environment. Kooho Jung and Hayeon Kelly Choi’s design is here to change the fate of dividing walls.
