CalAdapt – Graphic view of climate change’s potential effect on California
Desh | Dec 4 2009

The rising sea level, wildfires and the melting glaciers keep on reminding us that climate change isn’t fake. Well, within a century or so, the Treasure Island and the AT&T Park in California could be under water if we accept the graphic data supplied by CalAdapt as true. Unveiled last Wednesday by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the CalAdapt helps visualizing the possible effects of climate change. Schwarzenegger describes it as “first-ever, comprehensive state-level strategy to adapt to the future effects of climate change, including rising sea levels, increased temperatures and disappearing snowpacks.”
