Helix Wind Corp. has extended sponsorship to the 1,630-square-foot Zero Energy Idea House (ZEH) project. It will set up its S322 small wind turbine and the company`s proprietary Wind Turbine Monitoring System (WTMS) to make the house a literal zero energy home. Currently, the Helix S322 sells for $7,500.

These wind turbines are easy to install and work effectively at varying wind speeds. Apart from these turbines, the demonstration home model will also have a roof garden and solar panels. Insulated panels, energy-efficient windows, dual flush toilets, a rainwater collection system and nontoxic finishes on flooring and cabinetry will develop the house into a hub of green construction.
